In January of 2000, IRD (Industrial Research and Development) purchased both the Sealed Numeric Keyboard (PX) line and the Rotary Selector Switches (AS & RM) line from Honeywell Sensing and Control in Freeport, Illinois.

Before the acquisition these products were available in Honeywell Sensing and Control’s Environment Sealed Products Catalog 80. These product lines are now manufactured entirely at IRD in Alexandria, Minnesota .
